News: New members need to be approved before they can post. Sorry about this. We had a few spammers trying it on. It is a simple process - but pop a note in at 9 Lincoln Way giving me your email address. Or just email Dixon Jones saying who you are and where in the village you live and I will "hook you up".

Welcome to Harlington.net

This site is entirely free and is only for villagers of Harlington in Bedfordshire. Only register if you are related to the village please. The site helps to connect people in the village. You can add things yourself, advertise community clubs and society events, exchange or swap your unwanted but still useful items and generally use the forums for the good of the community.

New members need to be approved before they can post. Sorry about this. We had a few spammers trying it on. It is a simple process - but pop a note in at 9 Lincoln Way giving me your email address. Or just email Dixon Jones (Dixon at harlington.net) saying who you are and where in the village you live and I will "hook you up". Non village members need to be clear as to their connection to the village.

That's about all you need to get started. But please then feel free to introduce yourself in the "Introduce yourself" post.

So what else should you know? well...

Why is this site here?
Well - it has actually been here for a few years... but nobody really used it. So hopefully this format will change that. I can't think of a better use for spare web space than use it as a village community resource.

Is it commercial?
No. It's free to sign up and that won't change.

Would it be possible to have a map of the village with local names? as a newcomer to the village I am often unsure the location of places mentioned in the contact magazine .

That's a great idea... But probably beyond my artistic abilities.

Maybe someone more talented than me?
